UNDERSTANDING MEN

This is my very first article from my other blog. Forgive my rugged way of writing. I hope you will get what am saying in this attempt to explain what men want. I will appreciate some feedback.

So what do men want?

Men have this default desire to control their environment. Yes, a man's primary concern is his environment. Nothing brings him satisfaction than being able to fully control his surroundings. It is this desire to control the environment that makes a man to adopt a logical approach in dealing with things in life. That is why every man treasures his job or business because it gives him the ability (income) to control his environment. Take away his ability to control what surrounds him, then you have a desperate and miserable man.

All a man wants is to control (be in charge of) his environment and be respected for it.

What constitutes a man's environment?

Family, possessions, wife and anything under his care constitute a man's environment.

Paying school fees, family outings, feeding and providing clothing and shelter for the family, supporting extended family, and paying medical bills are all ways in which a man gets the satisfaction of being a provider and protector of the family.

Keeping possessions in excellent condition is another way a man feels in control. A man would rather talk about something else than talk about a car whose fault only him knows about. He is comfortable spending a good amount of his money on fixing his car, bicycle or motorbike, than upgrading his wardrobe. This annoys women. 

Men care less about their looks, their bodies, and how they look. Yes those are important, but they are just secondary. A man's primary concern is his environment. Its what he presents to the world. Not his physical face, but his environment is his face to the world. How he provides for his family, how he protects them, how he runs his businesses, how he manages his property. Those are some of the things the world judges him by, and respects him for. That respect is very important to him.

Men are not bothered much when you talk about their dirty cars or their imperfect looks as long as they know that all is well in their immediate environment. But you will definitely grab a man's attention, and probably injure his pride, when you talk about his inability to take care of his environment, as described earlier. 

A man’s pride lies in displaying his environment in it's perfect condition.

Men love to see beauty in their environment. This explains why they sometimes pimp their possessions into something a little extra special.

And of all the beauty in a man's environment, that slender, special feminine beauty of a woman tops it all. That is why a woman is a number one priority of all the priorities in a man's environment. Now you are asking where he places his own children, right? Well it would be nice to have them replace their mother as a priority, but men are wired differently from women.

Quick question: How many times have you heard a woman complain of a child stealing their man's attention from them? Now how many times have you heard men complain of lack of attention from their women because of a child at home? Yep. I can almost hear your silent answers. Now you can understand why someone easily came up with a joke about a man with a poor attempt to chaff or please his wife by saying he could sacrifice their son for her.WHAT? HOW COULD HE?!!! I HOPE SHE SLAPPED HIM. That was for you ladies.

That feminish nature of a woman gets to the head of that masculine nature of a man. Yes her nature is enough to break even the biggest and strongest man alive. A simple touch from a woman is enough to calm a man in a situation where he would normally panic. That is why she comes first in a man's world. She keeps him sane. In all he does, a man makes sure that the woman is happy by providing for her and making her feel protected. The effects of a woman on a man make it easy for him to respond to her requests for attention. In plain language, the man provides the love that a woman needs. Enough of the romance. Let us get back to a man's environment, shall we?

We now know that a man loves to see beauty in what surrounds him, and that a woman is the ultimate beauty in that environment. By default, a man wants to maintain that beauty and keep admiring it (big clue to women. Men want you looking beautiful). He will work his sweat off to make sure that he provides her the best clothes, the best jewelry, the best shoes, the best hair style, the best perfume, etc. This excites a woman, but it is all done for his own good pleasure. She is a reflection of his ability to take care of his environment, so he desires to perfect her looks before she is presented to the world, or in simple language, before she goes out. 

A man's pride in a relationship lies in his ability to provide, protect and love the other person(s) in that relationship. In the case of a woman, its his ability to take care of her that gives a man pride.

Another default setting in a man is the desire to touch this beauty of a woman. He does this with happiness thinking its all for himself, without realising that it is the very exact thing that the woman needs; LOVE. Isn't nature wonderful? It has a way of making the two natures of a woman and a man compliment each other.

So what does a man want in all this? In all honesty, as long as a man is able to do all these things, he is happy. But what he really wants is respect and recognition for doing exactly what defines a man, i.e controlling his environment.

This respect and recognition trick is what prostitutes use to get hold of married men. They will treat a man in ways that make him feel special, appreciated and in control. Just the way they welcome him is enough to make him forget his family. But you don't have to lose your man to a hooker, ladies.

The greatest way to disrespect a man is to publicly expose his inadequacies or failures. This humiliates him and injures his pride in ways you cannot imagine. But you show him respect when you politely sit with him to express your concerns. He will appreciate and respect anyone who handles him in that way.

But the best way to get anything from a man is by stroking his ego. Men love to be praised for how they handle and fulfill their responsibilities. That is how a wise woman (or anyone else) makes a man feel in control and in charge. Always mention to him how you appreciate his efforts to protect and provide. Thank him for specific things he does for you and the whole family. Tell him how it makes you feel when he does those things. This definitely goes to his head and makes him want to do even more for you. The more you praise a man, the more you draw everything you desire from him.

Conclusion

Women should understand that men want to feel in charge and in control of everything around them and get respected for it. This means controlling even those things that concern their surrounding, i.e saloon and wardrobe costs to maintain his woman's beauty, water bills to help keep the lawn green, and many other things we have already discussed.

Men want to be at peace with what surrounds them. You take away a man's joy and peace when you keep arguing with, and shouting at him.

 Finally, that simple hug and wonderful welcome kiss from a beautiful and clean woman is enough to re-energize a very exhausted man and set him off to do, "more work". *Wink*
